Nexus mods downloading slow

Nexus has this trouble almost every time there is a sale for Skyrim. A bunch of new people buy the game (or they get the DLC that they are missing) and run to Nexus for the Unofficial patches, ENB settings and a ton of other mods. The influx of people is just to big for the Nexus servers to handle. The mods are downloading just like in the Nexus Mod Manager, however ive noticed that the download speeds are significanlty reduced. My average download speeds seems to hover around 80kb/s. I realize that I m not a premium user, but my understanding was that the download speed would be capped at 1gb/s. I just got Skyrim VR and am trying to get my list up and running, but the nexus downloads seem to be very slow and intermitted. I am starting to feel like I have to get a premium membership just to download. Also, by slow and choppy I don't mean it takes a while, I mean it very often doesn't start at all. I thought that if I bought premium that would help. It did not. I am still downloading at the same speeds. I have a download speed of 60 mbps, and I used to get 1 mbps on the nexus. Does anyone have an explanation for why my speeds might be so low? I'm using Mod Organizer 2 if that helps.

I've been using Nexus since it was TESSource (though it's been 2 years since I last checked it out), and this is a right shame. Any admin have a workaround for. Downloaded 1,2 KB in 1 seconds. Calculated speed: 1,2 KB/s. Maximum instant speed reached: 0 B/s. I can download like 10kb/s and im a Premium Member! When i start an download on other sides i get 1mb/s!.
